Les doy la más cordial de las bienvenidas al sitio de la Embajada de la República de Azerbaiyán ante los Estados Unidos Mexicanos. En este sitio, podrán ustedes descubrir a nuestro país, nuestra cultura, historia y tradiciones. Al mismo tiempo, encontrarán información también sobre la relación bilateral y los lazos de amistad que existen entre Azerbaiyán y México, así como con otras naciones de América Latina.
Las relaciones diplomáticas entre México y Azerbaiyán fueron establecidas en 1992. Desde Enero del 2007 esta Embajada abrió sus puertas con el propósito de consolidar la amistad y las relaciones de cooperación que actualmente existen entre Azerbaiyán y esta región del mundo. Nuestra tarea ha sido el trabajar en conjunción con las autoridades mexicanas en temas estratégicos para ambas partes. Al mismo tiempo, hemos tenido el firme compromiso de buscar nuevos canales de comunicación con todos los países de la región latinoamericana.

New York, September 24  President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama have today met in New York.
The two presidents praised the development of the Azerbaijan-USA relations, which, they said, were based on the principles of strategic cooperation.
Barack Obama praised President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership role, calling Azerbaijan the most successful and one of the most influential countries in the region. |

22 October 2010 The International Baku Jazz Festival kicked off with a concert by the Arena Big Band of Azerbaïdjan. Farah Aliyeva, the festival organiser said: “Everyone loves jazz in Bakou. In the past, all the musicians wanted to come here because we were a jazz city. So since the start of the 21st century, we have been organising festivals. This year is the seventh one. Bakou could become a Mecca for jazz lovers. We want to make Bakou the capital of jazz. We really do.” |

New York, September 24 The Head of State noted in his remarks that UN plays an important role in solving global problems.
President Ilham Aliyev drew the attention of session participants to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. According to him, Azerbaijan favors peace resolution of the conflict, which damages security in the region and world. The Azerbaijan leader pointed out Armenia continues to occupy 20% of Azerbaijan lands. |
